8-week old Royal White Bengal Tiger ‘Almos’

TaJ And Almos’

Posted by Larry Cragun No Comments »

My first experience with Taj and Almos’ “The Boys” as our favorite zoo keeper, Robyn Barfoot, calls them was a never forget experience. They had recently arrived and Kathleen and I went in for “an encounter”. I think they were about 16 #’s then. Taj was too wild already to be let out with us, but Almos was allowed for us to feed and pet him. His skin was so tight. Unlike our cats he was all muscle. It was a true love at first sight experience. Enjoy these photos and I will write more later. Lar

Taj was not happy that Almos’ was getting bottle fed. He went nuts with a raging 20# yowl or growl.

Last week I returned again for another visit. They are over 300 pounds now. They were sleepy and laying on their perch. Taj, it seemed remembered me. He sauntered over as if to say hi. He layed down by the fence and looked up at me. Thank heavens for the fence, I would have probably forgotten he was a Tiger.
